I have always loved makeup. My youngest memory involves my mother's caboodle, red lipstick and bright pink blush. As a child I was surrounded by the indusrty as my Mother owned a salon. I would answer phones, take out rollers and sit and talk to all the clients. I loved how you could see the change in people from when they walked in the front door, and how they were transformed on the way out. I knew the beauty industry was for me at a very young age.
I started my journey as soon as I graduated high school. I decided to go to Tom Savini's school of special effects, but soon found out that type of makeup was not for me. I continued on a path of beauty at Pittsburgh Beauty Academy for Esthetics. After that I decided to get my cosmotology license and attended Empire Beauty School.
My passion is bringing people's inner beauty out. I had a client tell me "You dont understand what you do. It is so reassuring to know I am in the hands of someone who I can have complete confidence in. I have never felt this great about myself since meeting you." To me that speaks volumes. That is one of the best compliments I have ever received. When I can see that I have helped someone, I know I am where I belong.
I have done countless amounts of weddings, boudoir shoots, proms, head shots, styled shoots, makeovers, promotional advertising for The Hobb Sisters and Cello Fury. Also, any other event that you could imagine. My work has been published in Whirl magazine, Huffington Post and other various magazines. I have worked with Childrens Hospital on an advertising campaign and have also volunteered with Children's for an amazing program called Flashes of Hope.
I am blessed everyday to meet such amazing people and truly work a job I love!
